About
Rosalie Dornstein has been a potter for over 40 years, and a teacher for most of them. She was hooked the first time she put her hands in clay. The creative process transports her to another world where she is immersed in the “feeling” of the clay. This becomes her meditation.
Her inspiration comes from the world around her. She attends conferences, workshops and master classes to expand her experiences and learn new techniques. She shares this knowledge and inspiration with her students to both encourage and excite them.
Rosalie creates both functional and sculptural pieces. Her work expresses her sense of humor and you can often find “critters” on her functional pieces. Her utilitarian work is made to enhance its content, yet stand on its own as well.
